The Acoustic Cafe

June 5, 2007 by mitchellf

Another great Memorial day full of good music and great company. We took the kids this year and they loved it. Hackensaw boys really put on an intense show Friday night. Saturday it was music all day. Peter Rowan was a one man legend of a show. Many great bands like Brennen Leigh and her brother, and of course Dread Clampitt was there. I really missed seeing the Red Stick Ramblers, but maybe next year.

The Acoustic Cafe

We spent this past weekend at The Acoustic Cafe. Wow, what a blast! My daughter, Nicole, went with me and she and I had a great time together! :)

Dread Clampitt was awesome as usual! I love them!

The Hackensaw Boys were wild! They put on a fantastic show!

Peter Rowan was mesmerizing! What else can I say about Peter? He’s a legend!

And all the other artists were terrific as well.

I’m already looking forward to next year! :D

Great gig!!!!  Saw many old friends and made a few new ones. John Frank showed off all night, possessed by “The Killer” and just having a blast. Saw many more old friends at The Huddle House afterwords. Crusty, where have you been, give me a call so we can get up to date. Anyway, we will back on the 31st. Hope to see you all there.

SaveNetRadio!

I’ll be extremely sad when NetRadio is gone – I listen to it all the time :(

When NetRadio is gone…

Will I listen to AM/FM radio more?
No, I won’t be driving any more than I do now. And besides, NPR is the only good thing on broadcast radio.

Will I buy more CDs?
Of course not. NetRadio exposed me to music which I then went out and bought. ClearChannel will only force-feed me the crap their sponsers want me to hear.

Will we be one step closer to a revolution?
That’s up to you and I, isn’t it?

Contact your corporate puppets representatives and let them know how you feel.
